Join us for the november 2023 Civics academy - civics 101
November 2023 Academy Details
Based on the high demand for accessibility, we have decided to offer Civics 101 online. In November 2023, we will film and produce a generic Civics 101 class to be broadcast on our YouTube page. It will remain there as a resource and will be updated periodically. Additionally, we will continue to provide Civics 101 upon request to different groups and organizations.
As we establish our calendar for 2024, we are considering a range of subjects including the History of Social Justice, Ballot Initiatives, Anchorage Boards and Commissions, Know Your Rights, Climate Justice, Just Transition, Healthcare4All, Caregivers Caucus, Fairbanks Focus, Department of Corrections Reform, and Alaska Marine Highway/Transportation, along with academies requested by specific groups and/or organizations.

Support Civics in Alaska - Bippy's Birthday Bash
Join us in celebrating the one and only Bippy's 55th birthday with a FUNraiser to support Alaskans Take A Stand and the Alaska Civics Academy. We're throwing a party filled with music, games, prizes, and free food at our new home, Umoja Co-working space. Our goal is to raise $6000 for a year's rent and with your help, we know we can do it!
